Dear Sir,

Please enlighten me what yoga Asanas are that a healthy person should include in its agenda for a healthy body, mind and soul? My main query is that if a person is not suffering from any disease specific but intends to pursue Yoga for general health and rejuvenation, then what are the primary asanas to be done?

The other query is, "Can Asanas as asana Sarvang, Hal asana etc. governing such as Thyroid and other endocrine glands Pituitary can be done even by those who have no medical problem related to such glands?"Such hyper asanas will not enable the glands if done by an individual who otherwise is perfectly healthy? Please answer so I can start Yoga.

Response

Yoga asanas and pranayama are two of the pillars of the eight fold path of yoga. Some people use yoga as a therapy that gives the impression that we should do yoga only when we are captured by one or more of the diseases of lifestyle.

Yoga can be done perfectly healthy by all persons desiring to better health, fitness, rest and relaxation and avoid any lifestyle disease.

Active Yoga practices and massages the endocrine glands during various poses. This stimulates glands to work according to their desired function. If your glands are healthy, they become healthier and work more effectively.

If glands are not functioning correctly or does not exist any other medical condition, do yoga under supervision. Appropriate selection of Yoga sequence, regular practice and diet control can regulate the work of several endocrine glands and restore its normal function.

If you're healthy, you must start the yoga to stay healthy, get more strength, flexibility, peace of mind and many other benefits.

You can start with this simple sequence of Yoga for beginners.

Start with simple you can do asanas comfortably and continue to dominate these asanas before attempting any poses difficult or advanced.

Hope this helps.

Namaste
Daljit
